Favorite afternoon pick me up:
I’m a big fan of power naps, or an afternoon workout to help break through the mid-day slump.
If I weren't working in healthcare, I'd probably be:
Teaching, helping out on the farm, escaping to the lake.

What's something people are surprised to learn about you?
I enjoy cooking for other people and am not a half bad chef (per my wife and kids - biggest food critics ever!). I have been known as the “Cookie Monster” since I was able to eat cookies, and continue to live up to the name. Cookies have a short lifespan around me.
What's one thing you wish everyone knew about hormones?
We all have them (yes even men have estrogen and women have testosterone!). Our hormone levels fluctuate daily, weekly and monthly, and with life events! Balancing hormones is a never ending balancing act but it is achievable. What is optimal for one person, is not optimal for another. We are all unique in a variety of ways, and our hormones can help keep us centered despite the ups and downs of living.
