Justin Hicks
Justin Hicks founded Body Balance with a simple goal: create the kind of clinic he would want to be a patient of.
Growing up in a family-owned business and helping manage his parents' donut shop taught Justin that success comes from taking care of people first. The relationships built with customers, employees, and the community left a lasting impression and continue to influence the culture of Body Balance today.
As a former Muay Thai and MMA competitor, Justin spent years researching performance, recovery, nutrition, and hormone optimization. His interest in hormone health became personal when he began testosterone replacement therapy as a patient in 2016. While the treatment had a significant positive impact on his life, the experience also exposed him to many of the frustrations patients face when navigating healthcare—confusing information, inconsistent guidance, and treatment models that often felt disconnected from the patient's goals.
That experience inspired Justin to enter the hormone optimization industry in 2019, where he helped build and develop teams serving thousands of patients throughout the Kansas City area. Working closely with patients and providers gave him a unique perspective from both sides of the healthcare experience: first as a patient seeking answers, and later as a leader helping deliver care.
Those experiences ultimately led to the creation of Body Balance. Justin wanted to build a clinic centered around transparency, education, and genuine relationships—a place where patients feel heard, understand their treatment options, and receive care focused on improving quality of life rather than simply managing symptoms.
Justin believes that when a business truly serves its patients and team members, everyone benefits. His goal is to continue building a clinic that not only helps patients achieve better health, but also creates opportunities to invest back into the people who make that mission possible.
When he's not working on growing the clinic, Justin enjoys spending time with his family, training in martial arts, studying leadership and business, and finding new ways to help the Body Balance team better serve patients.
